Does tallow deodorant actually work?
Yes. Magnesium hydroxide neutralizes odor bacteria, arrowroot absorbs moisture, and the tallow-coconut base keeps skin calm. Most customers report all-day odor control from a single morning application.
Is there an aluminum detox period?
Some people notice a 1–3 week transition period after quitting aluminum antiperspirants as sweat glands re-regulate. Our tallow + coconut base helps soothe skin through that adjustment.
Will it stain my clothes?
Applied in a thin layer to dry skin, no. Heavy application can leave temporary marks; a light dab and gentle rub-in solves it.
How we source and render
Every batch begins with suet from cattle raised on forage from start to finish — grass-fed and grass-finished, per the USDA's forage-fed definition rather than the looser "grass-fed" language common in the category. That distinction matters because our product is essentially rendered fat: peer-reviewed work comparing grass-fed and grain-fed beef reports higher omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid, and fat-soluble antioxidants in fat from forage-finished cattle. What the animal ate ends up in the jar.
We render low and slow in our Taylor, Texas workshop, gently separating pure fat from connective tissue until what's left is clean, snow-white tallow with a nearly neutral scent. No chemical solvents, no deodorizers, no bleaching agents, no high-heat shortcuts. Then it's whipped or poured by hand, capped, and labeled by our family. One thing we won't do is make medical claims. We're a cosmetic skincare maker, not a pharmacy. Independent dermatology guidance from groups like the American Academy of Dermatology and the National Eczema Association consistently recommends fragrance-free, additive-free, occlusive moisturizers for dry and eczema-prone skin, and that's exactly the category our formulas live in — but if you have a diagnosed skin condition, please work with a dermatologist. Our job is to make the cleanest possible fat-based product and tell you honestly what's in it.
