What is beef tallow lotion?
Tallow is the fat around a cow's organs (suet), slowly melted and strained — a process called rendering. People have used it on skin for generations. Today, "tallow lotion" usually means rendered tallow whipped, sometimes with oils, into a spreadable moisturizer.
Unlike most store lotions, which are mostly water held together by emulsifiers, tallow lotion is essentially all fat. That makes it richer and more concentrated.
How we make ours
We start with suet from grass-fed and finished cattle, render it slowly in small batches, and strain it clean. Then we whip it with organic cold-pressed jojoba so it spreads easily and doesn't feel waxy.
No water, no preservatives, no emulsifiers, no seed oils. Our unscented jar has no added fragrance.

Technically a liquid wax ester, not a seed oil in the usual sense. Lightens the whip and helps it glide.

How to use it
- Start with a pea-sized amount — less than you'd use of a water-based lotion.
- Warm it between your palms for a few seconds until it softens.
- Press and smooth it into skin, ideally while skin is still slightly damp after a shower.
- Give it a minute or two to absorb before dressing.
- Add more only to areas that still feel dry.
