Why pair tallow with jojoba?
Plain tallow is firm at room temperature. Whipped on its own, it can feel dense. Adding a liquid lets it whip into a softer, more spreadable texture.
We chose jojoba because it's a liquid wax ester rather than a typical oil. It's notably stable, has very little scent, and absorbs smoothly. That makes it a good partner for tallow without adding a seed oil or a list of extras.
What each ingredient does
Tallow does most of the moisturizing work. It's a rich fat that softens skin and helps reduce moisture loss. Jojoba lightens the texture so it spreads easily and doesn't feel waxy.
We don't make big molecular claims about either. They're good, simple ingredients, and together they make a lotion people like using.

Organic cold-pressed jojoba
Technically a liquid wax ester, not a seed oil in the usual sense. Lightens the whip and helps it glide.

How to use it
- Start with a pea-sized amount — less than you'd use of a water-based lotion.
- Warm it between your palms for a few seconds until it softens.
- Press and smooth it into skin, ideally while skin is still slightly damp after a shower.
- Give it a minute or two to absorb before dressing.
- Add more only to areas that still feel dry.
